The Virginia War Museum is offering the following interactive children’s camps.

Revolutionary War Camp at Newport News Park

July 26-30, 2021

Revolutionary War skirmishes and minor battles occurred throughout Hampton Roads until the war ended with victory at Yorktown. This year, campers will explore different aspects of the Revolution in Tidewater, including local conflicts, the role of the Colonial Navy, and the daily lives of soldiers and citizens. We will take advantage of the resources of Newport News Park for fun, hands-on activities that bring the American Revolution to life. Ages 8 to 15 are eligible to sign up

 

Two five day sessions will be offered, July 12 – July 16 and July 26 -30, hours are 9AM to 4PM. The cost is $165.00 per camper. Before camp care (8AM – 9AM) and/or after camp care (4PM – 5PM) is available. The cost is $20.00 for Before OR After care and $35.00 for Before AND After care. There is a $25.00 discount on tuition for more than one child enrolled from the same family.
