VWMF Annual Meeting & Book Signing

December 11, 2010 - 10 am

Join the Virginia War Museum Foundation and listen to nationally recognized Civil War author and historian Dr. James I. Robertson. Dr. Robertson is the author or editor of over 20 books and is the recipient of every major award given in the field of Civil War history. He teaches the largest Civil War history class in American higher education, with an average of 300 students per semester and appears regularly in Civil War programs on the Arts & Entertainment Network, the History Channel, C-Span, and public television. This native of Danville is currently the Alumni Distinguished Professor and Executive Director of the Virginia Center for Civil War Studies. Dr. Robertson will speak at the VWMF annual meeting and then be joined by Christopher Newport University professor, Mr. Sean Heuvel, and author, historian and reservationist, Mr. John Quarstein for a book signing of their Civil War related titles. Dr. Robertson’s new book For Us the Living featuring artwork by Mort Kunstler will be available for purchase and signing from the museum store. VWMF Membership is required to attend the Dr. Robertson lecture and annual meeting. VWMF annual memberships start at $20 for an individual and $35 for a family. Individual student memberships are $10. Regular museum admission only includes the book signing event.
