Axis Powers
This popular gallery outlines the political, economic and social factors that led Germany, Italy and Japan to declare war on the United States in 1941. Special regard is paid to those factors that resulted in the rise of militarism, and the "cult of personality" that allowed Hitler to exterminate around 12 million people during the Holocaust. A wide range of uniforms, weapons, personal items and accoutrements complement pieces such as a section of the wall from the Dachau concentration camp.
