America and War

America and War Gallery

This expansive gallery is an overview of U.S. military history from 1775 to the present day. Displays of uniforms, weapons, accoutrements, and art work focus on the men involved in American military actions from the Revolutionary War to the Vietnam War. The gallery includes displays on the Second War for American Independence - the War of 1812, The Mexican War, The Civil War, The Indian Wars, The Great War - World War One, World War Two, The Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Here you will find a wide range of artifacts relating to American Military History from World War Two General Mark Clark's trenchcoat to one of America's first battle tanks made during World War I - a Special Six-Ton Tractor, modeled after the French Renault/Char light tank. Take a look at a World War II U.S. anti-tank cannon, World War II U.S. pilot's blood chit, and a Vietnam War U.S. helmet.
